Description: United States Navy guided missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG-67) on sea maneuvers; the Cole was attacked by Al-Qaida suicide terrorists on October 12, 2000 in the port of Aden, Yemen, when they sailed a small boat next to the ship and detonated explosive charges that blew a hole in the port side of the Cole, killing seventeen crew members and injuring another thirty-nine.
